Single Buyer Showcases Market and System Expertise at ENLIT Asia 2023, Jakarta
Single Buyer demonstrated its technical and market leadership at ENLIT Asia 2023, held from 14–16 November 2023 at the Indonesian Convention Exhibition (ICE), Tangerang, Indonesia. Five delegates represented the organisation, contributing thought leadership on renewable market development, long-term demand forecasting and grid resilience.
The delegation presented three technical papers:
1. Driving Renewable Energy Development via Corporate Power Purchase Agreements (PPA) in Peninsular Malaysia
2. Enhancing Long-Term Regional Peak Demand Forecast in Peninsular Malaysia
3. Enhancing Grid Stability with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
These presentations reflected Single Buyer’s role in shaping market mechanisms, strengthening forecasting precision and advancing system flexibility to accommodate higher renewable penetration.
Notably, two papers — on Corporate PPAs and Battery Energy Storage Systems — were shortlisted as finalists for the Best Paper Award, underscoring the relevance and technical rigour of Single Buyer’s work within the regional energy community.
Participation at ENLIT Asia reinforces Single Buyer’s engagement in regional discourse on market design, system reliability and energy transition pathways. The exchange of insights with utilities, regulators, investors and technology providers enhances institutional capability and informs the continued evolution of Malaysia’s electricity market framework.
Through active contribution to regional platforms, Single Buyer continues to strengthen analytical depth, market transparency and system readiness in support of Malaysia’s transition toward a more dynamic and resilient energy landscape.
