The Grid System Operator oversees real-time grid operations to ensure power flows safely, reliably, and economically for people and businesses across the nation.

Key responsibilities:

• Operating the grid in a safe, reliable, and economical manner
• Managing real-time, day-to-day grid operations
• Planning short- and medium-term transmission needs
• Coordinating cross-border grid interconnections with Thailand and Singapore
• Upholding the Malaysia Transmission System Reliability Standards (TSRS) to ensure consistent performance
