On 3 August 2022, SB received a visit from Sarawak Energy Berhad (SEB) delegates. The delegation was headed by Ir Yong Ying Poh, General Manager (System Planning)
The primary objective of the visit is for SEB to have a better understanding about Single Buyer ring-fencing arrangement as well as its roles and functions in the industry. Chaired by Chief Executive Officer of SB, a half day knowledge sharing session was held on overview of Single Buyer, long term planning methodology, VRE penetration and interconnections in Peninsular Malaysia. In the session, SEB also shared an overview of SEB, their hydro potential, renewable energy programs, interconnections in Sarawak and also their Green Hydrogen journey to Single Buyer’s team.
In summary, the visit has provided a good opportunity for Single Buyer and SEB to exchange information and ideas as well as to identify opportunities for sustainable cooperation in the future for the betterment of MESI.
