On 14th September 2022, a stakeholder workshop was held in order to collect the latest data and information related to local electricity demand. The workshop was attended by 35 participants from the Project Working Group, which included representatives from ST, TNB, GreenTech Malaysia, and SB.
The main objective of this study was to gather data and information on electricity demand in the Domestic, Commercial, and Industrial sectors, as well as customer knowledge, behavior, and consumption. This data will be used to update SB's Peninsular Malaysia electricity demand forecast model, known as LoadMAP.
The workshop was a success, with all participants actively engaging in discussions and providing valuable input. The collected data will be used to improve the accuracy of LoadMAP, ensuring that it accurately reflects the current and future trends of electricity demand in the region.
Overall, the stakeholder workshop was a valuable opportunity for the Project Working Group to gain insights and collect data that will be used to improve the forecasting of electricity demand in Peninsular Malaysia.
