On the 20th and 21st of September 2022, GDP Forecasting and Economic Outlook Workshop 2 was held with 15 participants in attendance. The participants consisted of Single Buyer, Suruhanjaya Tenaga, RAM Rating, and Sunway University. Day 1 of the workshop focused on basic macroeconomics concepts, near-term economic issues, and long-term economic issues. Participants were given the opportunity to learn about key economic indicators and how they can be used to forecast economic growth and stability. On Day 2, Sunway University facilitated a Q&A session where participants were able to ask questions and gain further insights into the topics covered on Day 1. Additionally, Single Buyer presented their load forecasting model which allowed participants to gain a better understanding of how to predict and manage future demand for energy. Overall, the workshop provided valuable insights and knowledge on economic forecasting and how it can be applied to make informed decisions in the business and energy sectors. The participants left the workshop with a better understanding of the current economic landscape and the tools and techniques needed to make accurate forecasts.
