Outage Management Process (OMP) Workshop is a series of workshop which was held from January to March 2023 in Kuala Lumpur with representative from TNB Power Generation Sdn. Bhd. (GenCo) and Malakoff Corporation Berhad (Malakoff) together with the Grid SystemOperator. There will be another session with Edra Power Holdings Sdn Bhd (Edra) tentativelyin May 2023.
The OMP workshop is a follow-up to the initiative sessions conducted by Contract Performance Unit to update 25 Generators on the OMP, which is aimed:
i. To provide awareness on requirement of Outage in the Agreement;
ii. To introduce the OMP to the Generator with the following objective:
a. To define roles and responsibilities in requesting, coordinating scheduling and executing Outages for all relevant parties (Single Buyer, Grid System Operator & Generators); and
b. To specify processes and associated implications on generator outages in line with the Agreement & Grid Code for Peninsular Malaysia.
Overall, it was an interactive session where all participants exchanged opinions and experiences so that each party could understand the processes and their respective roles better and indirectly enhance the relationship between each party.
