A technical visit to JEP, a 2 x 1,000 MW coal power plant at Port Dickson was organised by SB to gain better understanding on the coal handling process. The participants had the opportunity to observe the unloading of coal from the ship to jetty conveyors and subsequently the transfer of the coal to the coal yard via the conveying belt.
JEP Unit 1 has achieved its commercial operation on 22 August 2019, while Unit 2 is currently in the commissioning stage and is scheduled to achieve its commercial operation by December 2019.
